Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Keshwana functioning since July,1985.This KVK is enriched with all basic facilities like Building, Farmer’s hostels Demonstration units including Fruit plant Cafeteria, Azolla Unit, Poly house and ber orchard, Soil Testing Lab, Plant Health Clinic and Nutri garden. The instructional area of farm 62.0hectare land, out of which 42.0hectare land under cultivation.


Mandates of KVK

  • Conduct ‘On Farm Testing’ (OFT) in farmers’ field for identifying technologies suitable for location specific sustainable land-use systems.
  • Organize ‘Frontline Demonstrations’ (FLD) on various crops/livestock to generate production data and feedback.
  • Organize training programmes to update the extension personal with recent advances in agricultural research on a regular basis.
  • Organize short and long term training courses in Agriculture and allied enterprises for farmers, rural youth and unemployed women with emphasis on “Learning by doing” for higher output and to generate self employment.
  • Function as knowledge cum resource centre for agriculture and allied sectors in the district.
  • Production of quality seeds and planting materials for distribution among the farmers.

    District Profile

    KVK, Jalore organized a farmer fair under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Youjana (PMFBY) programme on 4th April, 2016 at KVK, Keshwana, Jalore. A huge number of farmers including farm women, progressive farmers, Extension functionaries (1000) and Officials of line department were participated.

    International yoga day, Soil day, Food day, PMFBY, Pre seasonal, SAC Meeting

    The Krishi Vigyan Kendra celebrate and conduct awareness programme on International Yoga day (21st June), World food day (16th October), World soil day celebration (5th December) during each year. Also conduct two preseasonal training programme, SAC meeting and other awareness programme for farmers, Farm women and Rural youth during every year.
